Suggest Dosage For Ventolin Syrup

I have given ventorlin cough syrup from GSK labs to my 7 months old baby after consultation with doctor. But, I just read that it is for children above 2 years. Do you see a concern here. Also, he is having high temperature of 102.5 now. Not sure if it is side effect. His activities are fine though.

It is likely that the dose has been adjusted so that your baby can use it. This syrup would be used for a cough that may be due to closure of the airways. The increased temperature is likely due to the infection that is causing the cough, it is not likely due to the medication.

If the temperature continues to be elevated, the baby should be reassessed.
