Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am a 25 year old woman detected hypothyroidism with TSH levels 19.59 about one month ago. My doctor advised to take 75 mcg thyronorm daily and i had it for 1 month. Yesterday I checked TSH and found it reduced to 0.56. Kindly advise me regarding the present dose to be taken.
The TSH is now in the normal range indicating that your thyroid hormone levels should be normal.
Any dose changes would need to be done along with your doctor. Since the medication has caused your levels to go to normal, the dose may remain as it is unless a problem occurs.
I hope this helps
