Hello doctor, my baby is 6 months old now and one of the doctor has suggested him Colimex when he was the crying badly in the night... one doctor asked to give 5 drops and other doctor asked me to give 7 ml is the dosage correct and how safe is Colimex
Hi Colimex is a drug which relieves spasm of intestines; hence, the abdominal pain. It is a symptomatic treatment to relive pain. In most of the cases, the baby cries on account of abdominal discomfort. It may be given upto 3 ml in a baby of 6 months. 5 drops is a very lesser dose. However, it is better to use such drugs in a very low doses.
