Suggest Dosage For Clindamycin

Hi my dermatologist gave me a clindamycin 2% in cyclocort lotion for my skin having atopic dermatitis. How long can I used this and can I used this safely in my itchy scalp, also in face. Whats in it, I mean ingredients. The pharmacist is mixing this themselves ,like custom made for me. Regards, Alberto

Hi Alberto Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Yes 2 % is good dose for clindamycin as topical application on skin. Yes clindamycin can be mixed with cyclocort lotion & can be used foir itchy scalp.
First of all when an antibiotic is used topical then it doesnot have much side effect as it is not absorbed in the body. So you can use this ointment for as long as your dermatologist prescribes you.
However according to me you should use it for 2 weeks only.

Refer to your dermatologist
Hope this helps
