Suggest Dosage For Anti-Rabies Vaccine

Hi Doc, this is the history of mine regarding antirabbies 2006- completed 4 dose of antirabbies injections sept. 2015- have been scratched by a cat. my doctor allowed me to take antirabbies 4 dose again, in the course of (0-3-7-28)... but today got punctured by a bone which i suspected been eaten by my dog before i got punctured.. the last dose of my vaccine is on oct.12,, do i have to add another day for antirabbies injection or it is okay just to complete the 4th dose since i got exposed again during the course.. tnx doc

I can understand your concern.
Rabies virus is transmitted through saliva and brain/nervous system tissue of the rabid animals like dog. Rabies virus becomes noninfectious when it dries out and or when it is exposed to sunlight.
The virus is no longer infectious once the material containing the virus is dry. Contact such as petting or handling an animal, or contact with blood, bone suspected to be eaten by the dog does not constitute an exposure.
Since you have already started taking the vaccines so complete the course of the vaccination as scheduled.
