Suggest Dietary Supplements For A Lactose Intolerant Child

My child has been diagnosed with HSP and has lost weight due to severe stomach cramps, we now have him on controlled medication but need for him to gain weight with a poor appetite, he has become violently lactose intolerant so cannot manage the usual supplements. Have you any recommendations?

Hello and thanks for your question.
I have read it carefully and I understand your concerns.
I would suggest the 'Fortimel Compact Energy' by Nutricia.
It is an energy dense, moderate protein oral nutritional supplement, enriched with essential minerals, vitamins and trace elements and it is 100% lactose free.
Please consult your physician as Fortimel must be used under medical supervision.

Kind Regards,
Gina Charp. R.Clinical.D, RN, RSCi
