Hello,

Thanks a lot for your question.
As you used to suffer from a duodenal ulcer it is important to avoid all the 'trigger' foods that can worsen your condition or prevent you from healing. These foods include:
-Caffeinated drinks and black/green tea (herbal tea is allowed).
-Fried foods.
-Spicy foods.
-Wholegrain or seeded bread/rice/pasta/rusks/cereal.
-Prunes and grape juice.
-Fruits with many seeds (e.g strawberries & passion fruit) and fruits with skin (remove skin).
-Broccoli, Brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, corn, leeks, onions, garlic.
-Raw green leafy vegetables (e.g spinach, rocket etc).
-High fat desserts.
-Alcohol.
-High fat dairy (prefer low fat, lactose free dairy).
-Nuts and seeds.

In order to lose weight i would suggest the following diet plan that will also help you with your ulcer and your Hyperuricemia:
Breakfast: 1 cup low fat probiotic yogurt with 1/2 banana and cinnamon.
Lunch: Sandwich with 2 slices of white bread, 1 slice low fat cheese, lean turkey or chicken (30-40 grams), lettuce.
Snack: Fruit or smoothie with fruit+milk.
Dinner: 150 grams grilled chicken breast or steamed fish with 1.5 cup steamed vegetables, 1/2 cup white rice or potato mash.
