Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.

Most people with chronic liver disease suffer from calorie and protein malnutrition.
In case of your father also, the same has been reflected based on the laboratory reports you have furnished.
Kindly follow the pattern of diet as mentioned below.
1. A high protein diet is important for people with chronic liver disease as the protein is used to maintain muscles and body tissues (including the liver) and to the keep the body working normally. It can be supplemented by intake of albumin (egg white). 1 gram of protein per kilogram of body weight is recommended.
2. Increasing intake of carbohydrates to be in proportion with the amount of protein consumed is a must. As far as possible, refined carbohydrates needs to be consumed. Less quantity of fats needs to be consumed.
3. Moderate quantity of fluid intake is equally important. Fluids in the form of tender coconut water, citrus fruit juices and sugarcane juice would be ideal.
4. Limiting your salt intake (less than 1500 milligrams per day). Salt in the diet must be restricted as it may worsen fluid buildup and swelling in the liver.
5. Taking vitamins (B-complex), antioxidants, lipotrophic factors and other medications prescribed by your health care provider for low blood count, nerve problems or nutritional problems from liver disease is essential and must be followed strictly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
