Suggest Diet Regime In High SGOT Individuals

my father is taking Xatral OD and Roswin 10 mg for more than a year, Resolor 1mg for 4 months now all at bedtime. He recently feeling body weakness, constiption and lose of appetite. Blood exam done revealed aside from slightly elevated HBaic there is an elevated SGOT and SGPT. do I discontinued these three drugs and what food should be given.

most important reason for the raised enzymes in roswin , and stopping the medication should do , also though rare , roswin is known to induce new onset diabetes in 1 out of 250 patients treated , the reason why hba1c is rising. you may continue xatral . though resolor is not known to cause the above side effects , it being a new drug in market all side effect profilee is not known , so i would suggest shifting to older alternative like domperidome .

Dietary changes for liver disease may involve:

Cutting down the amount of protein you eat. This will help limit the buildup of toxic waste products.
Increasing your intake of carbohydrates to be in proportion with the amount of protein you eat.
Taking vitamins and medicines and prescribed by your doctor for low blood count, nerve problems, or nutritional problems from liver disease.
Limiting your salt intake. Salt in the diet may worsen fluid buildup and swelling in the liver.
