You can safely consume low fat dairy products like low fat milk, skimmed milk or toned or double toned milk instead of full cream milk. You can also prepare cheese and curd from low fat milk. Avoid processed cheese, butter, ghee and khoa as they are rich in fats. Cut down on your intake of oil by cooking in a non-stick pan, using healthier cooking methods like boiling, stewing, steaming, stir-frying instead of deep frying. You must avoid oily curries and rich gravies. Have plenty of raw salads without oily dressings, fresh whole fruits instead of fruit juices which will not only give you more fibre that will help to keep you full for a long time but also be less in calories.
