Suggest Diet Plans & Exercise To Maintain Body Weight

Dear Dr. My wife is 26 years old and 65 Kg weight, 5.2" height. Due to PCOD doctor suggested to reduce weight and prescribed Dronis 20 and Metformin HCl IP tablets. Please explain the essential diet plan, life style changes and other important suggestions.

Weight loss is very much possible with healthy , hygienic diet and with moderate exercise. Diet contributes 80% in weight loss, exercise contributes 20%.
Diet should include low carbohydrates, high protein, low fats., 2 to 3 servings of fruits, 4 to5 servings of vegetables. Minimum 3 litres of water intake.
Exercise should include cardio for 45min like brisk walking, runnig, swimming ,6 times a week. Add strength training 4 times a week.
Go for oatmeal, brown bread, brown rice, chapati, idli. Pulses, sprouts, chicken, egg white are good sources of protein. Use olive oil. Have big bowl of raw salad.
