General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing in HCM.
It is unfortunate to note that your father is suffering from jaundice.
He needs to take small, soft, easily digestible food at frequent intervals. He can consume vegetable salads, fruits and citrus fruit juices. He has to have limited protein diet and avoid high carbohydrate, and high fat diet.
Since he is diabetic, his blood sugar needs constant monitoring until recovery.
Since you are giving history of presence of gall stones, you need to get it removed by endoscopic surgery at a later date.
Hope the information provided would be useful and helps him to recover soon.
All the best.
