Suggest Diet Plan To Improve The Hemoglobin Level

my child(male) is 20 months old he had viral fever during this period we got his blood test done , and came to know that the hemoglobin is only 6.83 , he also bites his teeth regulary , now his fever has come down , please tell me the daily menu what he should eat and how to improve his health ?and why does he bite his teeth

Thanks for posting your query at HealthCareMagic. The cause of anaemia needs to be investigated. The fact that he has a habit of grinding his teeth is independant from the probability that he could have worms that could cause blood loss and anaemia. I do not know his background but he might need to undergo a haemoglobin elecrophoresis to rule out diseases like thalassemia. The viral fever needs to be treated separately and although there could be correlations, you need not consider them at the moment.

Depending upon the situation, he might require blood transfusion.

To boost the amount of iron in your diet, try these foods:
*Egg yolks.
* Dark, leafy greens (spinach, collards)
* Dried fruit (prunes, raisins)
* Iron-enriched cereals and grains (check the labels)
* Mollusks (oysters, clams, scallops)
* Turkey or chicken giblets
* Beans, lentils, chick peas and soybeans
