Hello, thanks for posting on HCM.
As you have already been diagnosed with typhoid fever and already started on required antibiotic.
Typhoid fever is caused through drinking uncontaminated water already containing typhoid bacteria. The precautions you should take are to drink boiled water or purified water at home only. Also eat only homemade food, hot and cooked properly. Else continue to take the mentioned antibiotic for the advised period and you will get treated.
Coming to diabetes part, your RBS is 154 which is well in control. That means whatever diet you are following and whatever medications you are taking for diabetes are taking care of your blood sugars and keeping them under well control.
Diabetes is high blood sugars due to eating food containing high sugars. So advice for diabetic patients is to avoid sugar containing food stuffs and also food containing high fat content.
Sugarless tea coffee, cut down cakes, pastries sweet items. Cut down white rice. No soft drinks. Basically all sweet, starch containing food stuff should be reduced or if possible avoid.
I hope I have answered your query well.
Thank you
