Hi,

Coumadin/warfarin is a blood thinner and its efficacy or control is checked by INR. Certain foods should be avoided for INR to be in stable range which include green leafy vegetables like spinach, Brussels sprouts, Kale, mustard greens, collard greens, parsley, green lettuce and cabbages. Apart from these green tea, cranberry juice, grape fruit juice and alcohol should also be avoided. Besides many other medications can interact with it like some antibiotics, anti-seizure drugs, birth control pills, anti-inflammatory drugs etc so it is strongly advised to consult your doctor before taking any medication to avoid fluctuating INR.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
