Suggest Diet Plan For A Patient With Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

I was detected with Gastroesophageal reflux disease, GERD when the lower esophageal sphinecter (LES) does not close properly, as a result, I have to have my diet so I could recover soon. I began my diet through my oatmeal breakfast, and congee for my lunch. Still planning to have smoothy (vegetables n ginger plus banana or other none citrus fruits. Is it good to have whey for my protein substitute for meat since this is not good for me. ?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You have to reduce the intake of spicy food stuff.

Include more fruits and vegetables to your diet also.

If symptoms persist you can consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
