Hello I hope you are well. You should know that your endoscopic findings may be caused by an infection with Helicobacter Pylori, which has two patterns of presentation; antral gastritis that it´s the most frequent and pangastritis.

Direct or indirect evidence exists for the diagnosis of infection. In the first case it can be done by an endoscopic biopsy or by culture of the sample. In the second case, it may be through the identification of a breath test, which is very comfortable, however, this test has a high index of false negatives due to poor preparation, suspending the use of antisecretory drugs for at least two weeks. Another type of study is by fecal antigens.

If it´s determined that you present the infection, there are multiple therapeutic schemes with a high cure rate, being on average a duration of 10 to 14 days. I suggest that you return to your gastroenterologist to receive prompt medical attention.
