I have just been dx with low vit d levels and have recently found a lump in my left breast. The dr. Said she felt it was not abnormal and to take anti-inflammatories to see if it improved. My mammogram was negative, but my last mammogram was negative as well and upon ultrasound a lump was found in my right breast with an adenoma which turned out with biopsy to be negative. I am concerned I may need a second opinion
1.You had BIOPSY done and it came as adenoma - there is no question of second opinion. The report says cells of adenoma. 2.The next plan of treatment in this case should be either removal or monitored ? 3.If the the lump is causing discomfort / heaviness / pain - then need to excise. 4.Non symptomatic cases hormonal treatment and followup scans will be enough in case of BIOPSY proven breast mass lesion. 5.If you are not satisfied with your treating doctor - you should get an second opinion with your reports, as psychological assurance from the doctor will help patient to feel better. Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
