My wife was suffering from diarrhea and she was admitted in the hospital for three days. Doctor prescribed Rabeprazole (Aciphex) and Ornidazole (Ofloxacin). After taking this tablets, her stool has become black and she is having severe headache. Could you please let me know what is to be done?

the ornidazole does have a side effect of causing headache , the black stools may just be an incidental finding, ideally you should get the stool examined for occult blood.
if there is occult blood positive in that case we will need to find out the source of bleeding if not may be some food stuff she had consumed earlier may be the cause
