Suggest Cure For A Lump In The Armpit
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...my-8-year-old-son-has-a lump in his lymph node, in his armpit. His doctor saw him today and said it was in an odd place and could find no reason for it. He is going to children's hospital on Tuesday, 5 days from now. I am sick about it and can barely function, what could it be? It is the size of about a quarter.

it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general or a pediatric surgeon, for medical and physical examination. based from your description, it could be hidradenitis suppurativa. these lesions usually occur on the underarm, especially after shaving or plucking and/or usage of deodorants with strong chemical contents. hair follicles get infected. inflammation and subsequent abscess formation occur. medical (proper antibiotic regimen) and surgical (excision or incision and drainage) management will be directed accordingly.
