Suggest Cure For A Lump Appearing Underneath The Tongue

I ve had my tongue pierced for over a year now and for some reason the past few days underneath my tongue on the frenulum it has been hurting really right where my tongue ring sits. I felt a small bump right there but u can t really see it just a small white spec but u don t see the lump. I tried removing my tongue ring for a few hours but it made no difference.its still painful. What is this? And how can I make it go away?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear of these symptoms that you have reported. I will recommend that you remove this ring and keep it away until the cause of this pain is identified and addressed. Foreign bodies can be the start point of infection as well as factors that hinder healing. If removing the ring for a few days makes no difference, get the mouth examined by your doctor to look for signs of any infection or mouth disorder and treat accordingly,

I hope this helps. I wish you well.
