Suggest Cure For A Bump In The Pelvic Area

I have an under skin bumb in my pelvic area. at first it did not hurt, I could just feel it with my finger. after about three weeks it seemed to be going away, however, today the skin got red and it is painfull when I touch it. can it be STD, and if not, how can I get rid of it?

General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

based from your description, yes, it could be folliculitis. this usually occurs after shaving or when a hair is accidentally pulled out and it gets infected. it could also be a cyst, or an inflammatory reaction which is starting to form an abscess. medical and/or surgical management will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
