As per your complain skin light cream contains steroid component Mometasone Furoate and long term use can cause adverse side effects like Thinning and atrophy of skin, inflammation and red patches, eruption of pimples, bulging of veins of the face and itching. The darkening of skin when the use of the cream is reduced is due to steroid dependance.. You should completely stop the use of skin lite cream and do cold compresses and cold water splashes on face to reduce irritation and redness.. You may experience darkening of skin but you will have to keep patience and should not use steroids further as they will keep damaging the skin.. Once the redness is reduced you can start using Kojic Acid containing creams that will help in lightening skin colour.. You can also apply Vitamin E oil. Exfoliate your skin twice a day.. Drink plenty of water. Apply aloevera gel over the face for lubriction.. Avoid sun exposure as it can cause darkening due to photosensitivity..
