Suggest Consequences With Hemolytic Anemia

My granddaughter, age 13, has igA warm hemolytic anemia. This was a sudden onset and she is currently at the Cleveland Clinic. She is currently getting IV steroids and fluids. My questions are: is this the only treatment? - will she always have this disorder? -and can it be fatal?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
She has autoimmune hemolytic anemia. Her body produces antibodies against her own rbcs so her. So thete is immune mediated destruction of rbcs. This disease remains life time. It can bd fatal sometimes. Treatment is immunosuppressive drugs like steroids.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
