Suggest Consequences Of Hip Arthritis With Severe Groin Pain

I have been experiencing hip and groin pain for some months. Lately, when sitting or reclining with my legs out in front of me, my left leg will not lift. It is as if there is a cement weight on it and it just won t budge. Any ideas? When standing, it will lift, with pain. I have been diagnosed with severe left hip arthritis and am having ultrasound day after tomorrow to find what all may be going on.
