Suggest Chances Of Pregnancy With Varicocele Infection In Testis

Hello doctor. Im dharsini,age 28. My husband suresh,age 28. we have been married for 7 months. my husband has a problem, varicocele in testis, doctor has prescribed pentoksifillin, lipoic acid,vit b12, and coenzyme q10 for 20 days. can we get a baby? how long will it take to treat my husband?thank you

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

Let me first tell you that varicocele is not an infection, but an enlargement if the veins in the scrotum.
They may or may not alter the sperm quantity or quality.

So first of all you have to get the semen analysis of your husband done and see whether it is sufficient to have a pregnancy.
Secondly you too have to undergo a Gynecologist's check-up to see that everything is fine on your side.

The treatment given to your husband in the form of Pentoksifillin, Lipoic acid, Vit B12, and Coenzyme q10 is fine and basically given on an empirical basis and may help.

If everything is normal you certainly can have a baby.
In certain conditions where the sperm quantity is less, you can go for in-vitro fertilization procedures under the case of infertility specialist.
