Suggest Cause And Remedy For Blood In Stools And Pain In The Anus

Hi. I have a question. I have been having urgent stooling, but my stools are all formed. I have also been having some bleeding with stools. Now I started having severe pain in my anus that is not going away after I am done stooling. I can feel my pulse in my anus. Any ideas to what may be causing this? I had a colonoscopy a few months ago that showed I had hemorroids and had a few polyps removed a few years ago.

Hello,

Yes, your symptoms seem to be related to hemorrhoids. Some advice that I can give to you are:

-Add fiber to your diet slowly to avoid problems with gas.
-Use topical treatments. Apply an over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream or suppository containing hydrocortisone, or use pads containing witch hazel or a numbing agent.
-Soak regularly in a warm bath or sitz bath.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
