Suggest Calcium And Vitamin Supplements To Improve Bone Strength

I am a 43 year old woman. I need advice on vitamin supplements and calcium supplements that I need to be taking at this age to prevent bone thinning and also to prevent things like athritis as I have noticed a dull pain in in my left middle finger joints.

Hello
Since you are 43 years old female and approaching to menopause age so in my opinion take these tablets as these will prevent thinning of bones .
Calcium citrate preparation 100 mg or calcium carbonate 1000 mg .
Vitamin D3 60000 IU / week ( once in a week ) for 12 weeks and thereafter 60000 IU / month for next 9 months ( complete course of Vitamin D3).
Since you mentioned that there is a pain in the middle finger joint , so get in blood for rheumatic factor as well as for uric acid and deal accordingly .
You can take estrogen tablet .
But all these medicines are prescription treatment , so consult your doctor , take a prescription.
Good luck.
