Hi,

In my opinion, there is no harm in postponing the pregnancy for 6 months. If you are on oral hormonal pills, about 20% become pregnant during 1st cycle after stopping the pills, where as about 50% during 6 months and about 80% during the first year of stopping the pills. This rate is equal to or even marginally better than those who are not using any contraception. Also, persons using barrier methods like condom, diaphragms etc., have equal chances of being pregnant after stopping these methods.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
