Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Levatiracetam is an anti-epileptic drug that has been approved for treatment of partial seizures and as combination therapy in generalised seizures. You have been taking the drug in doses of 1000 mg per day and then increased to about 1500 mg per day and still seizures are persisting. In such case as per my opinion there is need for re-evaluation and if needed the drug should be changed. Drugs like Sodium Valproate, Carbamazapine, Oxcarbamazapine etc are broad spectrum anti epileptic drugs and can help to control your seizures. These drugs are relatively more efficacious than Levatiracetam in controlling seizures. Please visit your attending doctor for detailed evaluation and prescription.

Thanks, I hope this helps you. Take care
