General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The tests to confirm heartburn can be :

-X-ray, to view the shape and condition of your oesophagus and stomach.
-Endoscopy, to check for abnormalities in your oesophagus.
-Ambulatory acid probe tests, to identify when, and for how long, stomach acid backs up into your oesophagus.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
