Suggest An Alternative To Ramipril Tablet?

Ramapril not agreeing with me. Have been taking 5mg once a day for 6 months. Runny eye, nose, and funny cough, throat congestion all on right side of head, also low grade headaches. Worse last couple of days. Can I stop it cold turkey or wean off it. I also take Atenalol 50 mg a day. Have been on that drug for about 15 years with no side effects. Blood pressure 110/70 after am doses. Was 160/85 before starting Ramapril last fall. Thanks

I really appreciate your concern, it is not the medicine that causes such symptoms but it could be due to allergic condition, Ramapril could cause the cough symptoms but it may not cause the cold symptoms, or running nose hope this information helps.
