Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
My name is Dr Muhammad Ahmad & i will look into your problem.
I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible.
Yes your knowledge about Lidocain being an antiarrhthmic is true but its administration in both cases mentioned is different
In Cardiac issues:
We give a bolus (full rapid) injection of lidocain to a big vein very close to heart so that it directly effects heart...in this case it is used in a super large quantity.
I Dental procedure:
1-Lidocain is given in your flesh (gum) not in your vein ,there is near to zero percent chance it will reach your heart
2-It's given in very small quantity even all this quantity reaches heart nothing would happen
3-Tooth are far away from heart no direct vein goes to heart from tooth
4- Not lidocain but your
anxiety and fear can give you an
SVT so take a
Verapamil tab or an
Inderal before procedure and worry not it wont hurt you
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health
