Suggest An Alternative Remedy For Plugged Ears Apart From Debrox

My ear is completely plugged. I have used debrox, but I don t think wax is the problem. I have tried pinching my nose (similar to airplane), without any luck. There is no drainage. What to do? I did fly yesterday, but I fly a lot, and haven t had this before. Any thoughts.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain in case if you have plugged ears that does not resolve or get unplugged with pinching nostrils, there is a possibility that you have Blocked Eustachian Tubes due to accumulation of fluid/mucous in it leading to blocked feeling of the ears..
However excess wax build-up is another cause..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopy can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case of plugged Eustachian tubes, antibiotics, anti-allergics like Levocetrizine, decongestant nasal drops like Xylometazoline, steam inhalations can help..
In case of excess wax accumulation, using wax softeners and manual removal of wax can help..
