HI I want to know if there is any medication that can be a substitution for divalproex sodium dr 500mg(if the patient has mild Parkinson and currently had implantable defibrillator device as a result of irregular heart rate(fibrillation)? I am asking this question for a family member, the cardiologist prescribed two medications Amiodarone (to treat arrhythmia) & Eliquis which interact with divalproex. Since taking this medication is crucial before I make appointment with the psychiatrist who prescribed divalproex, I seek for opinions. Any help is much appreciated.
