Suggest An Alternative Medication For Excessive Sweating
I am a 60 year old female in fairly good health probably do not exercise nearly as much as I should. I m about 30 lbs overweight. My question is this: I tend to sweat a lot more now (in the past year ) than I ever had. Sometimes when I m shopping I get very hot feeling then I sweat horribly on the back of my head. My face and the inside of my arm at my elbow. I take prescription Singular. Omeprozale. Celebrex and cymbals.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to hot flushes. This is common in peri menopausal and post menopausal period. This is due to lack of estrogen hormone. Vitamin E supplements are helpful for this. Cut off excess coffee. Avoid smoking if you do. If these are not helping then you can think of hormone replacement therapy after consulting a Gynecologist. You should also check your thyroid profile to rule out hypothyroidism as it is also a cause.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
