Suggest Alternatives For Muscle Relaxers For Low Back Pain

I have had low back pain on the left side and into my buttocks for over a week. About four days ago, I also started to feel some discomfort on the left side in my lower abdomen/groin area. Went to family physician last Thursday and given muscle relaxers. Better but pain still there.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi..
I see such kind of patients in my daycare clinic. I would suggest you to get correct diagnosis done. Causes of low back pain are 1) Pelvic inflammatory disease 2) renal stone 3) Muscular pain. I would recommend to take chlorzoxasone 500 mg twice a day. If the pain is musculoskeletal then I would recommend you to consult physiotherapist.

I hope this would have answered your question..

Even if you have any queries do let me know.

Regards

Dr.Hamid
