Suggest Alternative Treatment For Epilepsy
My son suffering from epilepsy is under treatment for last 10 yrs and taking Zen Retard. Withdrawal of medicines was followed with reurrence of fits after 3-4 months of stopping medicines. So far there have been 4 such recurrences after withdrawal of medicines. Doctors advise life long medicines. What is the alternative

Hi, in case of recurrent seizures on antiepileptics ,
I would advise you to do Mri brain and video EEG to locate the brain locus for this.
If there is any lesion like hippocampal sclerosis it can be treated by medial temporal sclerosis .
Otherwise there are other surgeries for resistant seizures .
