Suggest Alternative Medicine For Montek LC

Hi , My wife is taking Montek LC for the past 2 years for Asthma ,Cold ,and Allergic to dust ,ice creams ,cool drinks. she stopped taking the tablet for past 1 week and now she started getting rashes in her hands and legs and started itching . We dont want to take Montek LC any more as she feels sleepy all the time after taking that tablet . please suggest for alternate

Montek LC contains montelukast and levocetrizine. Your wife has used this anti allergic drug for the past two years. When taken for such a long time and stopped abruptly, the allergic reaction may flare up.
I would have recommended my patient Tab Allegra M (fexofenadine + montelukast) in place of Montek LC. I would not recommend stopping anti-allergic drugs abruptly after taking for long period of time.
