Galvus Met (Vildagliptin/Metformin) usually does not cause weight gain. And your HbA1C of 6.6 Shows that your blood glucose levels are very well controlled.
I would have suggested my patient to continue on Galvus Met and start lifestyle modifications to address the weight gain issue.
Life style modifications like initiating physical activity like brisk walking, strict diet with regular frequency of meals intake, increasing fresh fruits and vegetables; cutting down on junk and oily foods.
Hope the above advice helps you. Thanks.
