Suggest Alternate Over The Counter Medication For Cyclopentolate
I just brought my husband to the ER for a scratched cornea. The NP ordered cyclopentolate HCL drops. I just inserted it and it burnt terribly. He was already in a great deal of pain. Would you recommend a different eye drop? Thanks! YYYY@YYYY

Those drops are for dilating the pupil for an eye exam and they don't treat a scratched cornea. He needs to get back to the ER right away since the pain may indicate he has glaucoma and that can cause major vision problems
Usually an antibiotic eye drop like Tobramycin is used to treat a scratched cornea
