Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM .
Read and reviewed your query and health concerns.
You seem to suffer from -Loeffler's Syndrome or AEP(Acute
Eosinophilic Pneumonia). Here the Clotrimoxazole does not reduce the dry cough, as the cough is from the eosinophilic
bronchospasm.
X-ray Chest and Tests for Blood
eosinophilia / Stool-Ova /Cyst for-
Ascariasis /pinworm infestations/tabpeworms in pork eaters / chronic
amoebiasis, need to be done to fix the cause.
Possibility of hidden/undetected TB and GERD with
acid reflux needs to be ruled out.
Occurrence of red dots all over the body of your brother- indicate-Urticarial reaction due to drug reaction to Clotrimoxazole(Sulpha Drug reaction) with reashes all over his body.
Do's Suggested-
Stop Clotrimoxazole immediately
Tab Montelukast(Singulare) 1 x 3 times a day x 1-2 weeks
Tab-loratidine-
Tab -Banoside fort-100 mg x 3 times a day-x 3 weeks.
Tab Dexona- 1 x 2-3 times with tapering of doses over next 10 days time-for control of bronchospasm and
drug hypersensitivity.
Plenty of fluids to keep airway humid.
Tab Wormin-1 per day x 2 days
This would give him the needful relief,But the things have to be taken under script from family doctor.
