Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What is the remedy for oak tree leaf itch? I have been suffering for 2 1/2 months with bites that have spread to red raised areas on my arms back chest and legs. I ve used cortisone, calamine lotion, Benadryl and Zyrtec and they aren t going away.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of oak tree leaf itch on arms, back, chest and legs which seems to be due to hair follicle infection leading to folliculitis. It could be due to clogging of sebaceous glands as excessive glands are there. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep the area clean and maintain proper hygiene and dryness. Wash properly with cold water and apply topical antibacterial cream bacitracin. Take oral antibiotics as well. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You can go for peeling as well. You should avoid itching and pricking these areas and wear loose clothes.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
