Suggest A Remedy For Fever And Viral Infection
Hi my son (6) fell at school today and grazed his cheek. He felt fine after the fall which took place at 12 noon. At 6 PM my son started complaining of a headache and at 6:30pm he complained of a pain in his stomach he was given pain relief and went to bed. When I checked his temperature at 7:30 it was reading 34.6°C and he was sweating. He was sick last week with a fever and a viral infection. He did not complain of dizziness and his pupils were equal, he did not vomit. Should I bring him to the doctor?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have fever and viral infection. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case the symptoms are due to viral infection . Doctor will most likely listen to the symptoms you have, and come to a conclusion about your illness. But in some cases doctor may tend to prescribe blood tests to rule out any other conditions like dengue, malaria, chikungunya, typhoid, etc. If you are suffering from viral fever it is best that you take enough rest and have warm soothing food like soup and khichidi till you get better. Doctor may also give yoy medicine for symptomatic relief , because viral infection go away in few days by its own . In some case doctor may prescribe anti viral drugs .
