Nervousness and anxiety, in general, are accompanied with acute high levels of adrenalin and noradrenalin in the system. These, in turn, cause a lot of effects in the human organism and, of course, in this case,
increased heart rate and
high blood pressure. You can try a 7-10 day course with benzodiazepines with low dosages (sedatives), but only after you have consulted a clinical
psychologist or a
psychiatrist. This class of drugs helps you relax, prevent and suppress panic attacks or anxiety attacks. Also, there is a
beta-blocker, propranolol, which is helpful in both reducing the heart rate and, also, reducing anxiety levels and prevent panic attacks. It is especially useful in people with public performance stress. I would recommend you to discuss the frequency of taking and the dosage, either with a cardiologist or you genera practitioner.
