Suggest A Remedy For Dilated Pupils, Headache And Nosebleed Post Injury

A car door hit my head (back, right side) just over 24 hours ago. Since, I ve had an aching headache, my left eye is weirdly sore, and I ve had a nosebleed. My mother checked and even after more than 24 hours my pupils are still dilated. Should I be concerned?

Hello,

I understand your concern. Headache that worsens over time, nosebleed and persistent dilated pupil after head injury indicates resence of possible crack or fracture in skull.

I would advise you not to wait and visit a nearby hosoital for the physical examination, xray skull and probably MRI to rule out any major trauma to head related to injury.

I hope this answer helps. Thank you for trusting HCM for your concern. I wish you feel better soon!

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
