Suggest A Remedy For Cough In Children

Hi, my son is 3 years old, he has been coughing for 5 months especially during the night and soon he wakes up. I took to many doctors, his chest is clear but he has a blocked nose and i have a feeling that his nose condition is causing the cough. he eats well, plays well and he looks ok but this cough is not going away, and gets worse when there is a change in weather. what to do?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to the HCM

I understand your concerns but don't worry. The reason for your child's cough can be allergic reaction or post nasal drip. I would recommend you to start him on monteleukast for a few months ( usually advised for 3 months). This will improve his allergic tendency.
You may use azelastin or steroid sprays for good benefits in nasal congestion and post nasal drip.

Hopefully this will help him.
Take care
