My dad just diagnose with dry gangrene on his right foot toes . His toes got infected but due to vesicular vain problem, poor blood circulation , it’s not heeling at all. In India they did CT scan and all the related test are done . Dr.suggest by pass but due to his age almost 90 and poor heart rate they could not do it. One more option was to cut leg from knee to toes and that’s horrible situation at this age. Him and my family disagreed .Basically he is now at home with pain medications and his wound is getting treated by doctor but situation is getting worst. He is in so much pain and crying . He is not diabetic that is the good thing . We just don’t want him to suffer that’s all. . Do you think of any medicine or painkiller ?Something strong so he don’t feel much pain. Dr already give him but thought worth to ask you. Even if it’s over the counter or ointment or something. His tissues are dead on the toes so nothing works for the infections.
