Suggest Adderall Dosage For The Treatment Of Narcolepsy

Pooler Ga Police arrested my daughter thinking she was. The tests finally showed negative for alcohol. She takes Adderall for a type of narcolepsy and she told them. They made her take a blood test (Oct 2017). We went to court today (3/15/18) and the judge told her she was in serious trouble and has to attend drug counseling!! She only takes the medication as prescribed. Her blood test for Adderall was 0.46. Is this appropriate for prescription?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

No, this is not appropriate number. If she is taking in therapeutic dose, it would be less than 0.1. Since her value is more than 0.1, possibility of drug overuse and abuse is more likely. So better to consult deaddiction center and get done counselling and rehabilitation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
