Suffering With Typhoid, No Improvement With Ceftum. How Long Will It Take For Recovery?
hello doctor,my mom is having typhoid , got titre o 1:320 and h 1:320 ,and she had taken cefxime+ ofloxacin twice daily for 10 days and azithromycin 500 bd for 5 days ...now after consultation from the physician she is taking ceftum 500 bd for the last 2 days,with no considerable improvement...still having fever 100 deg.f ....how long she would take to get well soon...we re worried...please guide..
dear user as with this lab report your mother is suffering from typhoid . diagnosis is correct . medication given to her is correct but duration was incomplete .
in this case its my advice to get hospitalize and shift your mother on parentral antibiotic ceftriaxone play important role in cure of typhoid . and chances of relapse and comlication is very less with this drug.
